The Galapagos Odyssey
The Galapagos Odyssey offers nature avid travelers the opportunity to experience close encounters with the unique wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. We put in over 100 years of combined experience in the design of this brand new luxury yacht. You will not find a private yacht in the Galapagos Islands that offers more space, comfort or service on a 16 passenger boat. The GPS Odyssey offers four decks for the comfort of its passengers. A maximum of 16 passengers are allowed to board the yacht, who have 10 passenger cabins at their disposal.
This luxury yacht has been designed especially for small groups to offer you more privacy and comfort, and to reduce the impact on the fragile Galapagos eco-system. A cruise on board the M/V Galapagos Odyssey will allow visitors to explore the both land animals and marine fauna of the Galapagos archipelago. Activities you can enjoy are trekking, horseback riding, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba diving, beachcombing amongst others.
All cabins feature individually controlled air-conditioning, a small desk, sofa, mini-bar & closet, as well as a spacious bathroom with shower cabin. All main deck & upper deck cabins average a size of 20 square meters, including the bathroom. These cabins have big windows, which can be individually opened.
Lower Deck: Two cabins with a queen size bed, which can be used for single occupancy or tour leaders.
Main Deck: Four cabins, 2 twin cabins & 2 matrimonial cabins. The main deck also gives room to a spacious lounge, chic dining area, bar and library as well as an impressive, shaded terrace for al-fresco dining.
Upper Deck: Four twin cabins. On the upper deck you can also find an outdoor bar with shaded terrace.
Sun Deck: On this deck you will find the jacuzzi and a shaded area with comfortable loungers, as well as a spacious area for sunbathing.
The Odyssey offers elegant and inviting social areas that are used to hold trip meetings, discuss your day to day itinerary, and share your experiences with other passengers.
Occassional diving: Odyssey offers an opportunity for certified scuba divers to dive during the cruise (minimum 2 or 4 divers). The dives will be offered instead of the normal land visit. As per the new Galapagos Park regulations, cruises would have to outsource diving from a local land-based dive operator and guests would dive with their staff. But reservations must be done at time of booking the cruise. It is suggested that all divers have advanced dive certification due to strong currents, cold water, thermo-clines and large marine life. The Galapagos National Park regulations require that all guests bring the dive certification card for verification of your dive training and experience.
