Day 3:  El Calafate (Mini trekking)
After breakfast at the hotel, Today you will set out to a tour called “Minitrekking”. It starts by going to a port located in “Bajo de las Sombras” bay, which is approximately 6 km (3.73 miles) away from a spot called the Glacier’s Viewpoint. At the pier, you will board the “Tehuelche” ship to go across the Rico Lake and get to the southern shore after about 20 minutes. During the whole trip it is possible to have an overview of “Canal de Témpanos” (The Iceberg Channel) and of the south wall of Perito Moreno Glacier. After disembarking, and accessing a shelter, the trek along the shore of the lake starts. It is a twenty - minute stroll to get to the glacier. From then on, it is a two-hour-long walk on the glacier in which it is possible to have a chance to watch a variety of ice formations such as cracks, drains, small lagoons, and so forth. The stroll is moderate and the surface upon which it is performed is irregular but firm and safe. You will also have flora, fauna and glaciology explanations as well as about the particular phenomenon that takes place in this glacier and generates the conditions for its breakings. At the end of the journey, it is possible to go through great Magallanes forests before getting to the shelter. At the set time you will be transferred to Bajo las Sombras port. Overnight in El Calafate.

(Included meals: breakfast)
Day 4:  El Calafate (Estancia Cristina)
At the set time, transfer to Estancia Cristina for trekking activity in a peaceful place framed by a mountain landscape that in winter turns into a white paradise. Estancia Cristina was founded in 1914 by Joseph Percival Masters, an Englishman who came to Patagonia with his wife in 1900. Having heard marvels about the Patagonian lands of Southern Argentina and being in search of a promising future, he decided to embark with his wife towards Buenos Aires, to later travel to Patagonia.  The Upsala Glacier is just a few kilometres from the Estancia and it is one of the largest in Los Glaciares National Park. To sail through the Argentino Lake among icebergs and mountains and then visit Estancia Cristina is an interesting combination of nature, adventure, history, and pleasure.

This full day program offers alternatives such as those who prefer a quiet day of touring and history as well as those who look forward to activities with adventure like trekking and riding a four wheel drive. Boarding and departure will be at port Punta Bandera at 08.15 hours in a comfortable boat and you will be sailing among icebergs and stunning scenery overlooking the western front of the Upsala glacier and then through Cristina Canal, you will get to the point of disembark in an old bay that the Masers family used to use to dock their vessel Cristina. From here, you will start a hike along a peninsula where you will have amazing views of the Upsala channel and glacier and of course, stopping on the way so as to take pictures and enjoy the landscape. At the end of this trek, at around 1.30 pm, you will get to the Patagonian Ice Viewpoint and stop for lunch (each passenger should bring its own box lunch).

Then, you will start your return the starting point and will board on the vessel to return to El Calafate. The total length of the path is 10 km (6.2 mi) with a medium level of difficulty. Overnight in El Calafate.
