Day 1:  Arrive in Posadas - Encarnacion - La Candelaria
Arrival and reception at Posadas’s airport. Transfer to Encarnación (Paraguay) crossing San Roque González Bridge to visit two out of the eight settlements of the Paraguayan region: the ruins of Trinidad del Parana, to admire the remains of its imposing church and its sophisticated construction; and the ruins of Jesús de Tavarangue, to appreciate the facade of the church and its Spanish- Moorish influence. Return to Posadas and continue towards La Candelaria where Estancia Santa Cecilia is located. This historic Estancia welcomes you to a traditional Argentinean Estancia, which combines the past and the present with familiar warmth and the peace and stillness of the countryside. Overnight in La Candelaria.

Day 2:  La Candelaria (San Miguel Das Missiones)
Departure to San Javier. We will cross the Uruguay river by boat, to arrive to Brazil to visit the ruins of San Miguel Das Missiones (1634), which was the capital of all seven Missions in southern Brazil. Its renaissance style church was built in 1735, with stones brought by the aborigines from 20 km (12 miles) away. Visit the interesting museum, whose assets include pieces from the missions spread all over the region. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.  Overnight in La Candelaria.

Day 3:  La Candelaria (Santa Ana ruins) - Iguazu Falls
Departure to Puerto Iguazú. On the way, visit to Santa Ana ruins, which is located in the middle of the jungle, Nuestra Señora de Loreto ruins (1632) which had the outstanding privilege of having the first printer of the region and the ruins of San Ignacio Miní (1632). This mission is nowadays the best preserved; therefore, it is the clearest representation of the Jesuit culture. These ruins have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Continuing towards Puerto Iguazú, we can observe the “yerba mate” and tea plantation. Arrive at Puerto Iguazú. Overnight in Iguazu.

Day 4:  Iguazu Falls (Argentina falls)
Departure In the morning will be visit the Argentinean side of the Iguazú falls, located within the Iguazú National Park, one of the first protected areas in South America, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will take the train to Garganta Station where we will get off for a walk up to the Devil’s Throat balcony, to share one of the greatest shows on Earth. The excursion continues along the upper and lower paths to get a close view of the imposing waterfalls. Take the Great adventure. A brief navigation to reach the San Martin waterfalls and a ride on 4WD truck for a fascinating jungle safari along the Macuco trail, Return to the hotel. Overnight in Iguazu.

Day 5:  Iguazu (Brazilian falls) - Fly out from Iguazu
Departure from the hotel to the Foz do Iguaçu National Park, one of the largest vegetation reserves in Brazil. Walking along the paths on the Brazil Side you will get startled by the panoramic view of San Martin Island and the most imposing falls situated on the other side of the border. Near the end of the path you will reach the outlook that offers an astonishing view of the Devil’s Throat. The path ends near Floriano Fall, where there is a small gift shop and the panoramic elevator that takes you back to the street level where you will take the park bus service back to your hotel accompanied by your guide. Return to Puerto Iguazu and transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight.
