Day 1:  Comodoro Rivadavia / Sarmiento / Los Antiguos.
Early arrival and reception at Comodoro Rivadavia airport; transfer to Los Antiguos. On the way we will stop at José Ormachea Petrified Wood. Box lunch. We continue along the Patagonian steppe passing by Perito Moreno City to finally reach Los Antiguos. It is located on the Shore of Buenos Aires Lake, the South America is largest lake after Titicaca. Dinner. Accommodation. Total travelled distance: 477 km (296 miles).
Day 2:  Los Antiguos / Painted Hands Cave / Lago Posadas.
Departure from Los Antiguos towards Cueva de las Manos. The site has been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The paintings are important due to the great variety of motives, in red, ocher, yellow, green, white and black, and realistic drawings together with schematic representations of human figures in movement. After visiting the caves, return to National Route 40 and continue southwards to the town of Lago Posadas. Lunch and Dinner. Total travelled distance: 257 km (161miles) 181 paved road, 76 gravel road, plus the access to Cueva de las Manos (Caves of Painted Hands). It is a 28 km gravel road (56 km round trip).
Day 3:  Lago Posadas. Early departure to Oro River.
We will start the trekking and during it we will be able to admire the incredible view of Mount San Lorenzo, the highest in Patagonia with 3,706 masl (12,158 ft.) and the glaciers. Box lunch. Return to the inn. Dinner. Accommodation.
Day 4:  Lago Posadas/ El Chalten.
Departure along the dusty gravel roads of the Patagonian steppe. Stop at Estancia La Angostura for a little rest and lunch. Afterwards, we will continue to El Chaltén. Accommodation. Total travelled distance: 564 km (350 miles).
Day 5:  El Chalten.
Day devoted to a full fay trekking. You can choose Laguna Los Tres (9 hours) or Laguna Torre (6 hours) Laguna los Tres is the classic, spectacular and unforgettable trek of the region. This is the trek to do if you only have one day in El Chalten. You will admire the mythical Mount Fitz Roy; lagoons of different shades of blue, imposing glaciers and campgrounds visited by famous international climbers.
Day 6:  El Chalten / El Calafate.
Day at leisure to rest or to enjoy a navigation on Viedma Lake. In the afternoon, departure to El Calafate by regular bus. Arrival and reception; transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. Total travelled distance: 217 km (134 miles).
Day 7:  El Chalten / El Calafate.
Day at leisure to enjoy an optional activity such as navigation on Argentino lake or a kayaking adventure between icebergs.
Day 8:  El Calafate.
Departure from the hotel towards Perito Moreno glacier. Perito Moreno glacier is an imposing ice river that descends from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field causing, during its slow advance, ice cracks. Because of its breathtaking beauty it was declared a Mankind Heritage by UNESCO. A walk along through the paths allows you to admire this impressive wonder of nature from different view points. It is possible to take an optional boat trip to enjoy a different view of the glacier wall from the water.
