Peru trip, Gene Reetz - September 5, 2011
Hi Mauricio -
We had a great time in Peru, and all the arrangements worked out just about perfectly. We especially enjoyed talking to the guides that were provided.
The hotels were great, especially Sol y Luna in the Sacred Valley and Colca Lodge in the Colca Valley, and Reserva Amazonica! Would have liked to have a little time in Chivay to look around the market, but that could have been easily arranged if we''''d known about it in advance - live and learn.
The only criticism we had was of the hotel in Puno: way out of town and not much right around it. The service also wasn''''t as good as at the other Jose Antonio hotels. Otherwise it was a wonderful trip with lots of variety and interest, good birds in the Amazon basin and the Colca Valley.

We very much enjoyed our trip to Peru. The travel arrangments were made without any problems and we felt very well taken care of by all the guides. We definitely felt that you cared very much about our trip and wanted to make sure that we had a good time.
Please feel free to post this to your testimonials web page and thanks again!
Mexico trip, David D (from Australia) - August 5, 2011
Hello Sandra. Thanks so much for organising everything with my trip to Mexico. The trip itself was great, with no problems experienced at all.
The service overall was very well-organised, with specific details given to all parts of the itinery. Regarding the places, my favourite spots were the Anthropology Museum in Mexico City, Taxaco and Chichen Itza. The guides were all excellent, explaining all the sites in detail and giving me (the only non-Spanish speaker in the group) the same amount of attention as everyone else. Also, the hotels were all fine enough, particularly the one in Mexico City (Hampton Inn and Suites). The only recommendation I would have would be to allocate more time for the Anthropology Museum which is a lot larger than would be expected. (Maybe half a day here would be better.)
I took about 150 of them, most of the ususal "postcard" type of thing. I´ve attached though a few of the better ones.
Thanks again and have a good week!

Argentina trip, Linda L (from USA) - July 5, 2011
The extensive planning and communication before the trip resulted in a memorable experience for me. The hotel was perfect, the guides were friendly and knowledgeable, and the itinerary was followed smoothly. I am sorry that I did not have more time to spend in and around Buenos Aires. The trip was too short. Laura did a beautiful job putting everything together to make a lovely vacation for me.

Greetings Mauricio –
Hope this message finds you well! We have now been back for a few weeks by now. I ran into several friends and colleagues who asked me how my trip was to Peru. We absolutely enjoyed this trip. Our guide was Luthmarrie (not sure on the spelling)
We also met one of the lodge managers (can’t recall his name now… he has 3 MBAs and a degree in law). I just want to let you know that you guys had done a great job organizing this tour and I would highly recommend to others!

Peru trip, Sebastian Pusch (from Germany) - May 23, 2011
Hi Dear Laura,
I just can say thank you so much for a perfect trip. Everything worked out perfectly. I´ve had a unique and unforgetable time, each day was special and so great!
One positive surprise was that everybody and everything was punctual, I was told that south Americans are unpunctual. Nobody was unpunctual and my worries were in vain. The whole organisation was just brilliant.
You will find two photos, one of Machu Picchu and the other one was taken at the lake Titicaca.
I have to say that the Salkantay Trek was outstanding. The guide was the best one which I´ve ever had. Not only the guide was very ggod, the horseman and the cook were perfect too! All did an awesome job!
Another highlight was definitely Bolivia, the tour which was booked for me was really great as well. The guide and the driver did a perfect job as well.
If I had to book the same tour again I wouldn´t change anything (the route, the guides, the hotels, etc.), the only thing which I wouldn´t book is the city tour in Lima. I think that one can do and should it by oneself.
So Laura, thank you so much for a perfect job!
All the best, Sebastian

Thank you LatinDiscover and Mauricio for arranging our fantastic and memorable trip to the Galapagos Islands in March 2011. The Islands themselves exceeded our high expectations, with stunning geology, white sand beaches, clear waters and fauna that would inspire anyone to become a naturalist. The experience was very much enhanced by the excellent organisation of the crew and guide (Esteban) aboard the M/V Galapagos Odyssey.
Each day was very well planned, with guided walks and opportunities to snorkle once or twice each day (sometimes with penguins and sealions, others with sharks and stingrays). Generally we toured the islands at times when the sun was not too hot and when the birdlife was at its most impressive. The Frigate Birds and Boobies on Genovesa were a real highlight - it was incredible to see how they had not developed a fear of man and would even accept sticks and twigs from our guide to feather their nests.
The boat was also lovely, fantastically spacious (we had an upperdeck twin cabin) and very comfortable even when motoring at night. The food was also excellent and there was more of it than we could possibly have eaten. The boat accommodates 16 passengers and this was an excellent size for socialising with the other guests on board, all of whom were very interesting and came from a variety of different countries. There weren''t any children on board, but I suspect in any case that this type of trip is better suited to adults and older kids.
Unfortunately on the way out to the Galapagos Islands, the airline made a booking error and as a result we lost a day in the Galapagos and our first night on the boat. However, Mauricio at LatinDiscover did everything he could (whilst on his day off) to find us a new flight and to get us to the boat as quickly as possible. LatinDiscover also made sure that the airline paid for the flights and gave us compensation for the first night missed on the boat - this is testiment to the fact that if things do go wrong on your trip, LatinDiscover will do their best to look after you until you can rejoin your original itinerary.
All in all, despite the error by the airline, we had an extremely enjoyable and memorable trip and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone that has even the slightest interest in nature.
Thanks once again for your help.
Peru trip, Margaret Houston (from USA) - May 5, 2011
We had a great cruise on the Amazon, The naturalist guides were first class, the food was excellent and all the logistics were thought through so the trip worked seamlessly. That is no easy thing in the Jungle.
I have recommended the your supplier and company to many friends, including 2 who have signed up for next month. I wish you much success.
Peru trip, John Skelton (from USA) - May 4, 2011
We are now back at home sweet home. Just arrived yesterday after a few days in Buenos Aries.
Thank you for your assistance and helping to make our trip in Peru so memorable. The scenery was absolutely amazing. We especially enjoyed Lake Titicaca and Macchu Picchu.
All of the guides throughout the trip were very helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Also the assistance at the various airports and bus trips were a great help.
We couldn''''t fault the accommodation. It was even better than expected and the Peruvian cuisine delicious. We''''ve come home with a few menu ideas and if we can buy Pisco Sour here we''''ll certainly be making a few of those too.
Once again thank you Mauricio
